A few days ago, I told you about one of my most recent discoveries in terms of nail polish; the incredible, oh, so incredible Notino Gel Effect nail polish range.

I seriously cannot believe that this collection is not being talked about more – these are some of my best finds of the year even if, let’s be honest, I’d wanted to try them out since October/November last year, when they were first released.

I’ve been trying them out ever since I received them in the mail and it’s been taking some time, since I purchased 28 out of the 65 colors currently available.

Why Did I Buy These Nude Notino Gel Effect Nail Polish Colors?

After so much time being in love with magical, oil slick and duochrome nail polishes, my heart switched to neutral nail colors again.

I knew I wanted to get a few of the nude polishes Notino carried as soon as I first saw them released a couple of months ago, and while I’ve gotten other shades like Self Care and Nude Pink, these are the ones I really felt like wearing these past few days.

Indeed, it is, at the time of writing, verrrrryyy cold and those warm colors just felt appropriate for my current mood.

However, if you’re one to love metallic nails, bright colors for the spring or summer, or soft mauve nail polishes, you’ll find all those colors, and more, in the Gel Effect range.

Nude Notino Gel Effect Nail Polish Swatches

Notino Gel Effect Nail Polish 348 Tuscany Stay Swatch

348 Tuscany Stay is a beautiful nude nail polish with slightly warm undertones, but still wearable if you’ve got olive skin like I do.

It’s opaque in just two coats, like many of the Notino nail polishes, aside from a couple of colors that require just the one coat – gorgeous for an elegant mani, especially if you’re into the newest mocha mousse trend.

Just so you know, all three of the Gel Effect nail polishes here are swatched with three coats, as I usually do to get more of a plump effect on my nails.

I’ve found the third coat to dry just as fast as the first and second, which is pretty incredible considering the price point (3,50 euros or less if there’s a sale going on).

Notino Gel Effect Nail Polish 373 Terraflame Swatch

373 Terraflame is a gorgeous, toned-down terracotta nail polish that is slightly sheerer than the other two when applying the first coat.

However, that second coat applies like a dream, and while the formula of the Notino Gel Effect is thicker than, say, Essie nail polishes, it self levels perfectly and you don’t need a third at all.

I really want to stress how thick the formula feels when applying these; they’re even thicker than the thickest polishes I have in my stash, namely the OPI, Essence and Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail polishes – but that self-leveling is there.

Notino Gel Effect Nail Polish 383 Old Photo Swatch

383 Old Photo is a true chocolate brown nail polish and probably my favorite out of the three nudes I’m showing you today – obviously, a nude shade for dark skin, where it is more of a fall nail polish on fair skin.

This one feels even more impressive than the other two because it is indeed fully opaque in just two coats, which can be rare depending on the brand; dark nail polish often takes three coats to full opacity.

The undertone to 383 Old Photo is more red than yellow, and reminds me of the color of the MAC lip liner in Chestnut, if that rings a bell.

This is only my first review with swatches about the Notino Gel Effect nail polishes.

The article in which I gathered all the colors I’ve purchased till now was only acting as a placeholder of sorts; an article in which you could compare the colors in the bottles first and foremost.

And if I haven’t yet snapped shots of the last manis I’ve done with these, rest assured that new ones are on the way, and you’ll soon be able to see all sorts of Notino nail polish swatches here.

Still, if you’re looking for a new, affordable nude nail polish, these are absolute gems, and last for literal days before even starting to chip – even without a clear top coat on. Wow.
