Then, I told you about 8 colors I got in the last few months, and even told you about one of my favorite from the bunch a few days ago, 239 Minty Frost, a gorgeous pastel green with gold duochrome.

Well, from that exact same range, I’ve also got a few other favorites, and that includes 237 Glimmering Petal Pink, a soft pink nail polish I find perfect for pretty much any season.

Why Did I Buy Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer 237?

I’ve been loving pastel nail polish ever more lately, as you may have seen when I shared my current picks in terms of summer nail polish colors.

I love my brights, my duochromes, my metallics – but pastel is a type of makeup and nail tone that I love whatever the time of the year too.

When I was at the Kiko store a few months ago, I saw that they were carrying new colors in the Power Pro Nail Lacquer collection, and if I saw number 239 Minty Frost first, this little pink nail polish is the one I spotted right after.

I didn’t have lots of soft pink shades in my collection (untrue, I had many of the sheer Essie nail polishes, which include Not Just a Pretty Face, Ballet Slippers and Mademoiselle) and wanted to try this Kiko range again.

Let me give it to you straight: you’ll need no less than three coats with the Power Pro Nail Lacquer 237 – it’s just so light that with both the first and second coats, the result is sheer and streaky.

However, as soon as you apply the third coat, you’ve got that beautiful duochrome nail polish, a baby pink base with gold glitter so small that it does indeed turn into a duochrome.

I’ve also got another really similar shade from this range, 238 Lilac Whisper, which I thought to be way too similar, but which is actually more purple and darker.

Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer 237: Would I Buy Again?

When it comes to the lasting power of the Kiko Power Pro 237 nail polish, it’s just as great as the other colors I’ve tried – as soon as it dries, it becomes rock hard, and stays on for days and days.

The fact that many of the Power Pro Nail Lacquer colors I’ve gotten have glitter inside means they are longer lasting by definition.

Still, even the brown nail polishes I’ve purchased last without chipping for a good five, six, seven days sometimes – and that’s without top coat!

So, if I was given the opportunity to purchase this particular shade, and even if it is extra work and wait to apply three coats, I definitely would.

The finish is just too pretty, and well, give me duochrome any time, you know.

I’ve said it before and will say it again – the Power Pro Nail Lacquers are some of the best Kiko products, just like the 3D Hydra Lipgloss and Smart Fusion lip pencils.

I don’t really like the other Kiko nail polishes aside from the Perfect Gel Nail Lacquer range, which is also great even if there are less color options in there, but these Power Pro…

Pick one, and that’s always a winner – and that includes, of course, another favorite, number 29 Silver Green, one of the craziest metallic nail polishes I have in my stash!
