If I had to tell you about the best Kiko products (and I will very soon), I would include the Power Pro Nail Lacquer range.
At around 5 euros a pop (£5, $5… depending on the country), these are some of the most affordable nail polishes I currently own, if we don’t count the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine range and the Glazed Sheer range.
I’ve been using these for some time now, but only recently discovered lots of new pastel nail polish colors Kiko released without me noticing, all caught up that I was in my sheer nail shades.
Brown and Pastel Nails: 8 Gorgeous Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer Swatches
Here’s what Kiko says about the Power Pro Nail Lacquer range:
Professional-finish nail polish, available in 30 exclusive shades for a bright colour that lasts for up to 7 days.
These are the eight Kiko Power Pro nail polishes I currently own:
- 020 Mermaid Pink
- 026 Reddish Mauve
- 029 Silver Green
- 234 Toffee Charm
- 237 Glimmering Petal Pink
- 238 Lilac Whisper
- 239 Minty Frost
- 240 Kiss the Sky
Why Did I Buy Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer?
The first Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer color I saw was the shade 239 Minty Frost, which is a gorgeous pastel green nail polish with gold duochrome – I knew I hadn’t come across it before, and also very much knew I needed it in my stash.
Green nail polish is something I love; khaki, pastel, emerald or forest green, I know it suits my fair olive skin perfectly.
Browsing the nails section at the Kiko store, I then saw some other duochrome nail polishes; the pink and purple shades, but also a soft blue I fell in love with at first sight.
The only color I already had in my stash was the Power Pro Nail Lacquer 29 Silver Green, which also happens to be the only glitter nail polish I’ll be reviewing today.
PS. While all the swatches of the Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer in this post are done on fake nails, I’m also working on writing a complete review for each of the shades with swatches on my own nails, like I usually do.

Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer: Application and Thoughts
Kiko promises a fluid texture with the Power Pro Nail Lacquer range, which ‘ensures perfect control during application and provides a professional finish that will last for up to 7 days’.
There are currently about 50 colors in this range, of which I’ve bought 8 – and I can confirm that the application is oh, so very easy with these nail polishes.
The glossy shades (234 Toffee Charm and 26 Reddish Mauve) along with the glittery 29 Silver Green all only need two coats to be completely opaque.

When it comes to all the pastel nail polishes, they were all done with three coats on fake nails, and, as you will see in each specific review, the pastel shades along with the only duochrome nail polish of the collection, 20 Mermaid Pink, all required three coats.
Which is pretty normal, especially given that pastel nail polish is usually a tad harder to work with.

Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer: Swatches and… Would I Buy Again?
There’s not one of these Power Pro Nail Lacquer colors I don’t absolutely love, although I have my favorites.
The 239 Minty Frost nail polish has been a go-to for weeks now; whenever I’m not wearing my sheers from Essie, that’s one I’ll go for as I know it hardens quickly and lasts for days.
This promise from Kiko Milano is definitely kept; this range looks immaculate for about 5/6 days on my nails when I avoid touching water often.
It’s not a habit of mine to wear top coat, far from it, and I love trying out nail polish in extreme conditions such as washing the dishes and taking the long showers I love so much – the Power Pro Nail Lacquer formula is definitely resistant to that type of situation.
The longest lasting out of the bunch is 29 Silver Green, as is always the case with glitter nail polish – this perfect mix of green, silver and blue makes for one of the most interesting colors I currently own.
Another thing to highlight is that even if shade 26 Reddish Mauve is described as such, it’s more of a deep chocolate brown with a slightly mauve/red undertone than a proper mauve shade.
Would I buy these again, if given the opportunity?
Definitely – formula, colors, pigmentation, and a large range of shades make the Power Pro Nail Lacquer collection a great one to start with, or to complete your nail polish collection.

Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer Swatches on Nails
When I first got shades 237 Glimmering Petal Pink and 238 Lilac Whisper, with the store’s lighting, I thought they were very similar – not that much.
While they both have gold duochrome, one is definitely softer, while the other is deeper and a tad cooler-toned.
The quick mani above I’ve done to show you the difference between the four pastel shades will hopefully come in handy if you’ve been trying to figure out which one to get – I couldn’t say whether I prefer the purple or the pink nail polish.
Shade 240 Kiss the Sky is the only duochrome in this review which has silver inside instead of gold, and that’s one that could be completely opaque in just two coats, while the other three need three coats.

All in all, at around 5 euros each, the Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquers are great to have in your stash – whether you’re looking for a mauve, brown, pink, green, orange or red nail polish, they’re all available!
I used to wear the Smart Fusion nail polishes a lot in the past; while I hate the formula, the colors were, for a long time, more interesting in that range than in the more sober Power Pro Nail Lacquers.
These are the olden days, though – with all these duochromes, glitters and magical shades perfect from summer to winter, you’d do well to check out this range and its new additions!
Until next time!
