I still remember the feeling when I got my first ever Fenty Beauty lip gloss; it was the shade Fussy, a beautiful, soft mauve lipgloss which I wore until it wore out.

Over the years, I’ve worn many a lipgloss, and used even more on photoshoots back when I was still doing makeup, and I have my little favorites.

The Juvia’s Place lipglosses are a favorite, as is the MAC Lipglass range, and they’re up there with the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb, which are so non-sticky and so suitable for anyone that you can only love them.

The Fenty Beauty products are incredible, let’s start there – the Killawatt highlighters, the liquid matte lipsticks, and even the monochrome eyeshadow palettes all breathe quality.

If there’s just one product I had to choose from the brand, to use for the rest of my life, it would be the Gloss Bomb lipglosses, though.

I was born somewhere in the 90s, back when fruity lipgloss was all the rage and almost made your lips stick to each other.

When the Fenty Beauty lipglosses were released a few years ago, they broke the makeup scene.

I mean, a lipgloss that feels smooth like a lip balm, pigmented just enough that it shows up but can suit any skin tone, with an unparalleled shine?

Yes, please.

Let me give you a quick description of each shade to supplement the swatches:

  • Glass Slipper: a completely clear lipgloss
  • Sweet Mouth: a pale pink lipgloss whose color feels like a mix of Glass Slipper and Fussy
  • Fussy: a soft mauve lipgloss, one of the best selling shades (and gorgeous on olive skin!)
  • Fenty Glow: a soft nude lipgloss with warm undertones
  • Cheeky: a coral lipgloss on a reddish base with gold sparkle – one of my favorite summer lipgloss shades ever!
  • Fuchsia Flex: the most pigmented out of the bunch, a deep fuchsia, almost berry lipgloss with a soft holographic effect
  • Hot Chocolit: a deep brown lipgloss with tiny glitter, neither too warm, nor too cool-toned
  • Riri: a rose lipgloss with tiny glitter, and one of the most universal shades in the Gloss Bomb range

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Glosses: Are They Worth It?

At $21 a pop, even if they don’t qualify as ‘drugstore lipglosses’ despite being sold in stores like Boots in the UK, the Gloss Bomb lipglosses are worth every single penny.

I have bought a few shades a couple of times, namely Fussy, Cheeky and Fenty Glow.

If you’re just starting out with the brand’s products and don’t really know which one to get, Fenty Glow is a surefire option if you have neutral to warm skin.

I have found that on my fair olive skin, it’s not the best choice, though – that’s where Fussy comes into play.

I’m currently on my third Fussy Gloss Bomb, and while it’s not particularly, overly pigmented, there’s something about how it makes my lips look that I just cannot, for the life of me, get over.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Swatches: 8 Most Popular Shades

best fenty beauty gloss bomb shades swatches review

Back when Fenty Beauty was still a very young brand, Fenty Glow, Glass Slippers, or Fussy were the first shades released, and are still, to this day, some of the most popular Gloss Bomb shades.

However, it’s amazing to feel, with each application, how much care has been put into crafting these lipglosses.

They are so non-sticky, so comfortable and so very shiny that I remember applying Fussy over and over again back when I was still working as a receptionist in London.

I didn’t need it; I wanted to use it – and that’s where you see that a brand does its job well.

The addition of brighter shades like Cheeky and Fuchsia Flex was a good move from Fenty Beauty, as the colors are so designed that just about anyone can wear them, no matter what their skin’s undertone is.

Until next time!
