Mint green is one of my favorite colors in the whole wide world – along with raspberry, mauve and petrol blue, it’s one of the colors I feel suit any skin tone, as much in terms of makeup as for nails.

When it comes to mint green nail polish, I don’t currently own a lot, but the ones I have, I love dearly.

They include Kiko Power Pro Minty Frost that I reviewed some time ago, and this one, the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Eucalyptus Nail Paint.

What’s magical about mint and light green nails is they can suit several seasons.

This type of shade is perfect whether you’re looking for a new summer nail polish, spring, and even winter colors if the green is cool-toned enough.

If you’d like to switch up your nails from your classic brown and nude Barry M nail polishes, and feel that the brand’s blue nail polish colors are a bit too bright for you, Eucalyptus is definitely a shade you should check out.

Why Did I Buy Barry M Eucalyptus?

I actually got several green Barry M nail polishes when I purchased Eucalyptus – however, this one is a muted type of mint green, with a slight greyish undertone that makes it perfect for cold months too.

Compared to the Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Eucalyptus, colors like Pistachio or Pear are brighter and warmer-toned, which leads me to use them during spring and summer months.

Why I got the Eucalyptus nail polish is pretty simple; there was a 3×2 deal on Barry M at Superdrug, as there so often is, and I just got a whole bunch of colors from the brand last year.

That doesn’t only include Pistachio and Pear, though.

I also got the Sheer Strength nail paints, and the Glazed Sheer polishes too, which are soft duochromes great to wear alone or to layer on other lacquered colors.

Barry M Eucalyptus Nail Polish: Application and Thoughts

The Gelly Hi-Shine Eucalyptus polish has a great formula, and felt very pigmented compared to other pastel nail polishes I currently own (like the Kiko Power Pro Glimmering Petal Pink or Lilac Whisper shades I have – so gorgeous you have to know of them!).

It becomes fully opaque, and is here swatched with two coats – have you seen the depth of color for such a light color?!

The Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail paints have a thicker formula than other drugstore nail polishes from brands like Essie, Nails Inc, or even OPI.

This means they usually require fewer coats, whether you apply the ultra-bright Blue Guava, the white Cotton, or the nude Honeysuckle.

Barry M Eucalyptus Nail Polish: Would I Buy Again?

If given to purchase the Barry M Eucalyptus nail polish again, I would – this is one of the prettiest muted colors I have in my stash.

I would also even go as far as comparing it to a muted blue nail polish Barry M carries, Bluebell, which feels like it boasts that same greyish, toned-down vibe perfect for winter.

Out of the few green nail polishes I have from Barry M, this one is definitely my favorite.

There’s something really special about this color which suits my olive skin perfectly, and feels nude while being colorful.

Finding a great mint green nail polish is no easy task – it feels like whenever I’m looking for a particular color, Barry M has it, and hits it out of the park.

We could create beautiful nail designs with this one, something kind of marble-ish and beachy like I showed you when I blended Essie Aruba Blue, You Do Blue and Blanc some time ago.

This is a color I also love wearing with really dark plum/purple nail polishes and white, which makes an amazing combo for fall and winter!
