A couple of days ago, I started telling you about some of my favorite Douglas Collection nail polishes, which included two duochromes: Pink Triteia, a champagne blue color, and Sea Witch, a white-ish blue.

These two were some of my first duochrome nail polishes, and coincidentally two of my first colors from Douglas Collection, which, in some countries, is way too underrated of a brand.

The following color I got is the one we’ll be seeing together today, 520 Power of Fushia from the Bold range, one of the prettiest pinkish berry nail polishes I have in my stash.

Here’s what Douglas says about their nail polishes:

Thanks to an exclusive technology, the innovative formulas of the Douglas collection have a particularly long hold, exceptional opacity, dry quickly and give your nails a shiny finish.

Why Did I Buy Douglas 520 Power of Fushia?

Berry lipsticks, nail polishes and berry anything really has a strong hold on me – whatever the time of the year, I will wear that type of color, oscillating between pure raspberry and deeper plum colors.

Actually, at the time of writing, I have another berry nail polish on my feet, the Revlon Ultra HD Snap in Berry Blissed, which you might love if you’re into that kind of color.

A few years ago, I got my first Douglas nail polishes, and vividly remember spotting number 520 Power of Fushia amongst all the beautiful colors from the brand.

Since they only retail for 4.99 euros in Italy, I got this one along with a bunch of other shades, like the bright red Red Perfecto, or the nude Granit.

In time, I will show them all to you, since there’s not one color to fault out of the 18-something bottles I have, but yeah – it felt like I absolutely needed this new color to complete my fall nail polish collection.

Fall colors are my favorite, muted and all, and little by little, you’ll see that I’ve picked up some wonderful gems from the Douglas Collection racks.

Douglas 520 Power of Fushia Nail Polish: Application and Thoughts

I cannot describe the pleasure I feel whenever I use a Douglas nail polish – the formula and pigmentation are so well-designed that one coat is enough for most of the colors in the range.

When it comes to the Power of Fushia nail polish, it’s no different.

Swatched are two coats so I could offer you the prettiest pictures possible, but I didn’t need to do that at all – and actually only apply one coat whenever I wear it.

Now, in terms of fuchsia, I’m not too sure how well the name matches the color: in my mind, fuchsia is more of a cool-toned type of purple pink, and we clearly have a berry hue here.

Does it matter?

Only if you’re getting Power of Fushia online, although the colors on the Douglas website are pretty accurate.

Douglas 520 Power of Fushia Nail Polish: Would I Buy Again?

If given the opportunity to purchase the Douglas Collection 520 Power of Fushia nail polish again, I would.

This might even be my second bottle, although with all the colors I currently have, I tend to forget – but what I do know is that I’ve worn this one a lot.

I do like my bright summer nail polish colors, but fall and winter shades have a vibe I just can’t get over – and so whether it’s March, May or October, I’m just going to wear it and feel happy to have such sophisticated, yet statement nails.

We’re far from the effect that shades like the ones from the Barry M Sheer Strength range might have, which are a whole other kind of sophisticated, that’s true.

But when it comes to Power of Fushia, the fact that it’s so affordable, pigmented, easy-to-apply and fast-drying, and long lasting on the nails pretty much makes its case.

And so yes, should I ever get to the bottom of things with this berry nail polish (that should happen within a few months), I would definitely get another bottle if I don’t see an even prettier raspberry color at the Douglas store.

Berry Pink Nails: Douglas Collection Power of Fushia Nail Polish Swatches

While I haven’t really tried the Douglas Collection makeup yet aside from a couple of products, the nail polish collections are incredible.

I have a lot of colors from the classic range, and a few from the Stay & Care Gel collection, which is a bit more expensive but even better in that the polishes are glossier, and yes, even longer lasting for just a couple of euros more.

If you’re looking for the perfect berry slash fall or winter nail polish color, Power of Fushia is one I swear by, and one to have in your stash for quick statement manis!

Until next time!
