Some time ago, I reviewed for you all the very popular sheer Essie nail polishes, and one of them was Limo-scene – how could it not be, with this super light pink color that literally matches any season?

At the moment, my current favorite sheer pink nail polishes from Essie are Mademoiselle, Sugar Daddy and Vanity Fairest.

Limo-scene, for those of you who would like to wear something more beige than pink on their nails, could be the grail you’ve been looking for!

Why Did I Buy Essie Limo-Scene?

When I temporarily moved back to France a couple of months ago, I found a website on which most of the very popular Essie nail colors were on sale – I’m talking about half price, and even more for some colors.

Which is why, while I had already gotten Not Just a Pretty Face, Ballet Slippers and Mademoiselle in Rome, I decided to get all the remaining sheers I’d been eyeing for some time.

Swatched here are three coats of the Essie Limo-scene nail polish – like most of the sheers I’ve tried from the brand, one coat would be enough.

However, for the sake of future sheer nail comparisons, I’ve decided to swatch all my sheers with three coats, as even two coats are not enough to tell them apart sometimes, as is the case with Limo-scene and Allure.

Limo-scene applies well and pretty evenly, however, I have to admit to liking how Sugar Daddy and Vanity Fairest apply better, as they feel a bit thicker and slightly more even.

Essie Limo-Scene Nail Polish: Would I Buy Again?

If given the opportunity to purchase the Essie Limo-scene nail polish again, I most probably would not because of the slightly warm, beige undertone to it.

I’m one to love sheer pink nails, and would rather get Sugar Daddy or Mademoiselle again rather than Limo-scene, or even Allure as both are slightly too warm-toned, or at the very least too neutral for my olive skin.

However, with just the one coat, there’s no reason why I wouldn’t wear it a few times here and there when I want to do a quick mani.

I would also add that as a base with maybe plum, khaki green or teal blue nail designs on top, this could actually become a new favorite for the fall.

My tastes tend to change a lot when it comes to nail polish, especially nude nail polish, so I don’t rule that out!

I can definitely understand why the Essie Limo-scene nail polish is such a best selling shade; easy to apply, easy to wear, and long-lasting: what more could we really want?
